Will the total cost be different if there are a change in participants going on the tour?

A change in student numbers may change the total cost of the tour if the number of students decreases. And alternatively, if the number of students increases, the cost of the tour will decrease.

Will the cost be different if there are currency changes?

No. The cost of the tour will not change unless there is a decrease of participants.

Does the tour price include travel insurance?

If you participate in a tour with Edu School Tours, you must be fully insured by a comprehensive travel insurance policy. The travel insurance should be provided by the school or the relevant governing body. If there are any pre-existing medical conditions, you must provide full details of these conditions at the time of booking the tour, and paying the deposit. Additional premiums may be associated with some pre-existing medical conditions. Insurance queries should be directed to your school.

What does the total cost include?

The total cost of the tour includes all flights, transportation, accommodation, activities and entries, most meals, & tipping. 

Can my child change their return flight to meet family members?

Please contact your school to clarify the schools policy. Any changes will incur additional costs.

My child has dietary requirements.  Can they take extra food/snacks to Space Camp?

Yes, but if any foods contain nuts or other allergy ingredients will be taken from your child and stored safely until the end of space camp when it will be returned to them. 

Is there a minimum or maximum number of students that can go on the tour?

No.  There may be a maximum limit depending on the school policy.

If a student needs to pull out of the tour, can they be replaced?

Yes.  A student can be replaced up until 6 weeks before departure.

Do I need a VISA?

Yes. Parents are responsible for applying for an ESTA for travel to the United States (please see details below)
We will advise/guide parents if a student requires a B1/B2 VISA, which is an an additional cost.

What is an ESTA?

The Electronic System for Travel Authorization.  ESTA is an automated system that determines the eligibility of visitors to travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP).  Australia is part of the Visa Waiver Program, which enables citizens of Australia to travel to the United States without a visa.  The purpose of ESTA is to let the U.S. government pre-screen all Via Waiver Travelers before they leave their respective countries.  Citizens of one of the 37 Visa Waiver Countries (including Australia) entering the U.S. under the Visa Waiver Program need to have a valid ESTA.  The ESTA Travel Authorization is valid for up to two years and can easily be updated for future visits.

Will the group be seated together on flights?

Airlines to their best to keep groups seated together. However, we cannot guarantee all passengers will be seated together on all flights. It is not within our power to put students seated with friends. Frequent Flyer Membership profiles and aircraft changes may also effect seating allocation.

Will the flights accrue frequent flyer points?

The PASSENGER must be a frequent flyer member, and then that passenger can earn Qantas frequent flyer points from the Qantas flights and affiliated airlines (American Airlines). Please advise the students frequent flyer membership number at any point prior to departure.

When will I get a copy of the schedule?

At the Final Information Night, you will receive all documentation regarding the tour, including your child’s ticket wallet with their flights, ESTA/VISA information and Insurance details. We cannot give the schedule out any earlier due to possible time changes in flights and activities.

Can I purchase a SIM Card?

Yes.  SIM cards for the USA can be purchased through Edu School Tours.  If you would like details of the SIM Cards, please contact us via our email address.
